Classic Show Cooking

The classic show cooking is an experience of tasting of the most famous and authentic dishes of Sicilian cuisine, prepared on sight. It is also a unique opportunity to learn about the history of the Sicilian gastronomic tradition, in just 2 hours, with a local food guide who will meet you at your holiday home in Palermo. You will have the opportunity to eat in the most authentic way, without any filter, in the comfortable environment of your home. The classic show cooking begins with the arrival of the food guide, the meeting will be immediately bathed by a small toast of zibibbo wine and a coppo di semenza, also called “U pass tempu”, useful for passing the time during walks or while expects to eat. Well! at this point the tasting and preparation of the recipes on sight begins: the platter with cheeses and jams, typical products such as sfincione (typical traditional focaccia), caponata (to be enjoyed with a heated slice of bread) of which you will discover the recipe original, the secrets and the most popular variants in the city, and then, the meat rolls, also called “Spitini”, stuffed in the typical Sicilian way, are rich in sweet and savory flavors. You will taste resh pasta with Sicilian flours (spaghetti chitarra and busiate), the arancina and finally the Sicilian cannoli, among glasses of wine, passito di Pantelleria, stories and anecdotes handed down by grandmothers .
