Classic Cooking Class

Cookinshow’ s Classic cooking class is an alternative and innovative experience, it is not a cooking class but a special tasting on sight, thanks to which you will discover anecdotes, stories and recipes of Sicilian gastronomic culture, comfortably, in your holiday home. Designed for travelers who want to live an authentic experience, without effort and without losing too many hours during their holiday in Sicily, but want to eat typical products and recipes and see how the most authentic dishes are prepared. It will be fantastic to taste the real Sicilian cuisine and the most famous dishes, prepared on sight. During the tasting you will be able to discover the stories and recipes handed down by local grandmothers. You can choose the time you prefer and a local “food guide” will reach you at your holiday home and in just 2 hours you will learn the Sicilian and Italian culinary tradition. We start with an aperitif and taste a local wine with the “coppo di semenza”, a typical munching time pass. At this point begins the tasting and the show of the recipes prepared on sight, from cheeses with typical jam to typical products such as sfincione (typical traditional focaccia) and caponata to be enjoyed with a heated slice of bread). The tasting will come alive with the rolls stuffed in the typical Sicilian way, arancine with local products. And the list is certainly not finished: homemade pasta, the typical busiate of the eastern area of ​​the island and homemade pasta (spaghetti chitarra will be prepared in front of your eyes); everything ends with the cannoli stuffed with sheep’s ricotta and the passito. The experience will be fun with glasses, funny stories and anecdotes that will make you really understand how a true Sicilian lives. At the end, a special map will be given to move, eat, drink and buy products like a true Sicilian in the city of Palermo, with special advice for the central market and the historic center.
